Ngan Wa Ao (Kate Samozwaniec) A native of Macao, Kate has lived in Taiwan, the US, and various European countries.

She is now pursuing her Master's degree  at the University of the ArtsPoznan, Poland.  Her artworks are often inspired by

her childhood memories, gender roles, feminism, racial identity, and human conflicts with nature, etc.

Photography is a medium that she uses the most. she is fascinated with trying to understand the intention behind the
photographs were taken in bygone eras, the role these photographs will play in the future, and the stories they narrate. 
 

Photography to her is the physical embodiment of an untold story than the technical process of taking a photo. she tries
to convert and rework on memories, photos and image files by mixing different media and materials, trying to
discover disparate qualities or intricate meanings in the process.
